This course provides a comprehensive overview of classical and contemporary aspects of the estuarine ecology including morphology, hydrochemistry, hydrodynamics and the ecology of different estuarine organisms (bacteria, algae, macrophytes and animals). Special attention is paid to biogeochemical processes in water column and sediments.
