Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding specialization
Main aim - students learn to apply acquired theoretical knowledge in solution of concrete relevant marine engineering tasks. They develop competencies to design and renovate devices and their compound parts, to prepare production and repair technological processes. Learn to solve planning, management, human safety, environment protection, fire – fighting assurance problems. Learn to deal with optimal transportation problems.
Summary
Students learn to perform problem analysis, to formulate the objective and tasks of the work, to formulate a technical task; to design: a construction of a ship‘s hull; overall ship equipment, ship system, other engineering equipments; to evaluate ship‘s seagoing qualities and ship‘s safety a sea; to set ship‘s construction (or repair) principle technology; to evaluate economic and operational indices of a ship or any other maritime engineering equipment. Students acquire experience in applying special ship computer aided design systems, computer graphics and other computer functions applied in ship design, preparation of production and management of technological processes.
