The main aim of this course is to deepen students' knowledge of the aspects of the maritime economy in the point of sustainable development, to learn to be able critically analyze and assess the basic needs of sustainable development and to choose the most appropriate alternative development solutions of the maritime economy
The course is designed to study theoretical and practical aspects of maritime economy from sustainable development point of view, to introduce to different cases and practices of sustainable maritime economy growth solutions.
The course is based on knowledge of maritime complex structure and the emerging environmental issues such as: impact of maritime transport on the environment of global and local scale, impact of economic development of maritime industry on interconnection of the ecosystem in ports structures, sustainable environmental and technological solutions in maritime industry.
Importance and main principles of sustainable
development in Maritime Economy will be analyzed in depth.
