During the lectures, the
connections of the subject of socio-educational work in the community with
other sciences are analyzed. The main social educational functions of the
community are distinguished. The possibilities of the territorial community
center as an informal social education system are singled out, defining the
specific areas of its activity. Students' ability to analyze territorial
community activity strategies by solving socialization problems of persons at
risk is improved
